Your Emotion

There is a warm knowing
That wherever I go
There will be emotion
Because you are there.

Love melts the ice when my heart grows cold
When I have left all feeling far behind
You release your own emotions from deep within my soul
And these cannot be stifled - they always overflow
In weeping, or singing, or peace and strength, or joy.

There is a warm knowing
That wherever I go
There will be emotion
Because you are there.

Doorway to the Doorway

Endless swirling green
In my focused, limited vision
Through glass, a clear glass
Variations and subtleties
Without termination
And I can feel it all around me
Somehow without losing the
Bearing of ascent.

Winds that for a moment
Rushed around inside my body
Have silenced to whispers of Anticipation.
Worries vanished; the rescue is peace
Before I even realize that
It isn't somehow
My own escape,
And this is only
The doorway to
The Doorway to
The Beyond All:
The Origin of The Rescue...

The Word.

Here is something beautiful:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood
(or overcome) it...
He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth...
from the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made Him known."

This is one of the most thrilling passages I have yet read in the Bible! I think it is so exhilirating because these words are SO simple and SO rich. The Word... There is such great power in the written word - words like those above from John chapter 1. Yet as powerful as written words are, they can't compare to spoken words - words like Jesus' speaking of Creation into existence, and His speaking of life into a Lazarus. And still, spoken words cannot even begin to compare to the Living, Breathing, Being Word: Jesus the Great Brother and King, God who makes God known, The Light. He is the Word who says: "I am the Living One" and "I am making all things new!"

Unbounded - 1.17,31.10

These are the lyrics of a song I just finished writing today:

Your irrevocable grace
Your merciful design
To make a love covenant with me!
For my unfaithfulness
You'd take the death penalty.

Unbounded tension and relief:
An undeserved way out for me,
And the undeserved suffering of my Ever-Faithful God.

This is more than anyone else would offer me
Far beyond what any false god would give
The angels marvel and the universe sings
Of Your passion unmeasureable for me.

Unbounded holiness and joy
You are the Lover of my soul
I long for You, and I will not rest until I see Your face.

What profound a peace is this:
It is finished; I am free!
The Earth trembles from its deepest hidden places...
My resurrected Jesus is my Solid Rock and Rest.

Unbounded power over all
You send Truth out to bring me in
There's no place in all the world
Where I cannot see Your dance of love for me.
